On March 19, James Decker, former treasurer of the Independent Soft Drink Workers Union in Burlington, Kentucky, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky to embezzling union funds of an unspecified amount. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards. (OLMS, 4/21/09).
