On April 15, Belinda K. Woods, former president of Communications Workers of America Local 84-415 in Grand Rapids, was indicted on one count of embezzling union funds in the amount of $10,988.86 and one count of falsifying union records. The indictment follows an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards. (OLMS, 5/28/09).
