On May 5, Ronnie Scott, former financial secretary of United Auto Workers Local 2409, pleaded guilty in the Criminal Court for Putnam County, Tennessee to theft from the Cookeville union in an amount of more than $1,000. He subsequently was sentenced to two years of unsupervised probation. The plea and sentencing follow an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
