On June 17, Rhonda Holmes, former secretary-treasurer for Laborers International Union of North America Local 481, pleaded guilty in the Circuit Court for Baltimore, Maryland to one count of stealing union funds from the Baltimore union in the amount of $6,350. She subsequently was sentenced to five years in prison (suspended) and five years probation, and ordered to make full restitution. The guilty plea and sentencing follow an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
