Painters Union Office Manager in Seattle Sentenced for Embezzlement

PaintersOn September 25, Fawne Lei-Petersen, formerly office manager for International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 300, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington to three months in prison, seven months of home confinement and three years of supervised release for embezzling $86,116 in funds from the Seattle union. She had pleaded guilty in June. The sentencing follows an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
