On February 12, Lisa Wright, former secretary-treasurer for the Transit Employees Union, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to one count of embezzling $71,470.50 from the Bedford, Ohio union. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
