On September 1, Jo Ann Duffy, former project organizer for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia with embezzlement of union funds in the amount of $13,738. She had been charged in June. The charge follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
