On June 18, Elizabeth Mills, former bookkeeper of Laborers International Union of North America Local 901 in Mount Vernon, Washington (Skagit County, north of Seattle), was charged in Skagit County Court with theft of union funds in the amount of $7,721. The charge follows a probe by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
