On September 28, Woodrow Anderson, former treasurer of Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics & Allied Workers International Union Local 208, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida to two years probation and 180 days home confinement for making a false statement in union financial records. He also was ordered to pay the Bradenton-based union’s insurance company, Zurich North America, $2,249.96 and the court a special $25 assessment. Anderson had pleaded guilty in July. The actions follow an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
