On December 10, Poutoa Tuiolemotu, former treasurer of Glass, Molders, Pottery, Plastics and Allied Workers International Union Local 50, was charged in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington with embezzling an unspecified amount of funds from the Seattle local. The charge follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
