On December 28, Christy Freeman and Katherine Jones, respectively, former treasurer and former employee of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 780, were charged in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama with making false entries in financial records of the Eufaula union. The charges follow an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
