On March 21, William Wyda, former secretary-treasurer of National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 253, was charged in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania with embezzlement of $14,081.51 from the Hazelton-based union. The charge follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
