Boston-Area Carpenters Treasurer Pleads Guilty; Sentenced

carpenters-logoOn April 19, Richard Dean, former treasurer of United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 275, pleaded guilty in the Trial Court of Massachusetts District Court Department to nine counts of larceny from the Newton union. He then was sentenced to one year probation and was ordered to make restitution in the amount of $15,374. The plea and sentencing follow a probe by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
