Electrical Workers Local Business Manager in Florida Sentenced

ibewlogoOn August 18, John Parisi, former business manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 682, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the District of Florida to one year of probation and 25 hours of community service for entering false financial statements in the records of the St. Petersburg-based union. He also will have to pay $13,053 in restitution and a $25 special assessment. Parisi pled guilty back in May. The guilty plea and sentencing follow a probe by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
