On October 19, Joseph Pavone, former president of Laborers International Union of North America Local 560 in Waltham, Mass., pled guilty in U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts, to three counts of receiving unlawful labor payments totaling $6,466.80. The guilty plea follows a joint probe by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards and Office of Inspector General.
