On September 14, Gloria Dickinson, former secretary-treasurer of American Federation of Government Employees Local 421, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to entering false statements in financial records of the Washington, D.C. union. She had been charged on September 6. The charge and guilty plea follow an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
