Marine Engineers Beneficial Association Employee Indicted

On January 14, Kenneth Marshall Jr., an employee of the Marine Engineers Beneficial Association, was indicted in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on one count of bank theft and one count of aiding and abetting theft of $18,851 in funds from District 1 of the AFL-CIO-affiliated union. The indictment follows a joint probe by the FBI and the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards and Office of Inspector General.
