On October 13, Clinton Humphrey, former president and business manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 386, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas to six months of home confinement and five years of probation for embezzling $51,811.70 in funds from the Texarkana, Ark.-based union. He also was ordered to pay full restitution plus a $100 special assessment. Humphrey had pleaded guilty to an information in January. The actions follow an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
